  • Jérôme Albertini is a highly skilled and talented photographer, who, in 1990, made the decision to immigrate to the United States from his birthplace in Paris, France. Throughout the years, Jérôme has established a reputable and esteemed career in photography. Starting as an assistant in Los Angeles, he has grown to become a highly regarded portrait photographer in New York City, showcasing his exceptional ability to capture and preserve unique and meaningful moments in his work.

    By the end of the 1990s, Jérôme had established himself as a sought-after portrait photographer, executing projects for various music and cinema magazines in the US and Europe, as well as several advertising agencies and record companies. During his over a decade-long career as an entertainment photographer, Jérôme produced several iconic images, but in 2007, he chose to pursue other creative and artistic avenues and ceased accepting commercial photography assignments. He subsequently devoted himself to fine art photography for several years, before embarking on a project that involved creating large, digitally altered images, which he printed as large-scale prints. His fine art and digitally altered prints have been highly sought after by collectors worldwide, further testament to his exceptional talent and innovative approach.

    With the launch of SQUADRA, Jérôme’s highly sought-after hip hop photography is now accessible to a wider audience.   • As a young photographer, Jérôme developed his craft by working as an assistant to renowned fashion photographers in Los Angeles and New York City. In the mid-1990s, he shifted his focus to capturing musicians for magazines such as Paper, Vibe, and Spin. With hip hop gaining widespread popularity in the US, Jérôme was able to work with an abundance of up-and-coming talent, leading to further collaborations with various magazines. By the turn of the new millennium, he had become the official photographer for The Source, where he went on to photograph over 70 hip hop artists. His images were highly sought after, appearing on magazine covers, CDs, and in several books on hip hop history.

    He is regarded as one of the top 10 hip hop photographers of his time, renowned for infusing his early fashion photography training into his music photography to produce polished and high-quality results.
