CEREMONY

  • Born and raised in Paris, France, Pierre began his career in digital content at Premiere Heure, an advertising agency in Paris. As a director and filmmaker, his passion for visual storytelling propelled him to create a wide array of memorable and award-winning works, receiving acclaim at prestigious film festivals such as SXSW, Sundance, and Tribeca. He was one of the first filmmakers in Europe to explore narrative VR fiction, making history by producing the first VR short fiction broadcasted in Europe.

Utilizing innovative techniques, combined with a skillful application of imagery, Pierre crafts authentic and engaging experiences that add depth to storytelling. Last summer, he debuted his first photographs in a group show at “Les Rencontres d’Arles” in France.

Since 2022, Pierre has been living in Brooklyn, New York, where he has returned to film, experimental videos, and photography, now incorporating AI tools into his creative process. This integration of technology has allowed him to push the boundaries of traditional storytelling, as demonstrated in his latest film, "In Search of Time," co-directed with Matt Tierney, which was showcased at the Tribeca Film Festival.

  • Pierre Zandrowicz’s ‘Ceremony’ series delves into the intricate fabric of human history, focusing on the rituals and ceremonies of fictional communities. These diverse gatherings are at once united by the shared desire to commemorate, connect, and convey their cultural identity across imagined landscapes.

Utilizing his own AI model to create the striking visual artworks, his innovative approach underscores the exhibition's theme expressing technology’s deep intersection with humanity. And, in his interplay of AI-generated imagery and timeless narrative, Zandrowicz shines a true and hopeful light on our time.

As these visually harmonious images challenge us to reflect on our past, present, and future — the series raises poignant questions regarding the resilience of cherished stories and rituals when faced with rapid digital transformation and the ever present march of time.
