Father and son, twelve-year-old Arkalak (right) and Alankush carry their eagles while riding horses in the Altai mountains of western Mongolia. In keeping with Kazakh eagle hunting tradition, Arkalak followed in his father's footsteps and started training his own eagle at the age of ten.
